2 oz. Old Elk Bourbon
2 bar spoons full of Cinnamon Simple Syrup*
Juice from half a Lemon
In a mixing tin add Old Elk Bourbon, cinnamon syrup*, lemon juice and stir vigorously
Strain into an old-fashioned glass over fresh ice
Garnish with a slice of apple and a cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon
Serve and enjoy!
*To make Cinnamon Simple Syrup:
2 cups of water
12 cinnamon sticks
1.5 cups of sugar
In a small pan, combine 2 cups of water and cinnamon stick, bring to boil
Simmer for 10 minutes, and strain out cinnamon sticks
Bring water back to a boil and add the sugar
Stir until sugar is dissolved
Remove from heat, refrigerate and use once chilled through.
